David Spear Commercial Vehicles has demonstrated its continued commitment to supporting the local community by donating £1,000 to Hospice of the Valleys and taking part in the charity's Flowers for Forever in Bloom campaign.
Members of the David Spear team, Geraint Yeo and Lewis Parfitt, joined volunteers at Bedwellty House and Park in Tredegar to help plant hundreds of commemorative daffodils, creating a beautiful display dedicated to the memory of loved ones.
The Hospice's 2026 campaign, themed ‘The Year of the Daffodil', invited families to dedicate a daffodil in remembrance of someone special. Symbolising hope, resilience and new beginnings, the display provided a place for reflection and remembrance before culminating in a commemorative service celebrating the lives of those no longer with us.

Despite challenging temperatures during the planting, volunteers and supporters worked together to create a display that will bring comfort and hope to visitors throughout the commemorative weekend.
Geraint Yeo, Sales Director at David Spear Commercial Vehicles, said:
“Supporting charities in our local community is an important part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. Hospice of the Valleys carries out remarkable work, providing care and support to local families during some of the most difficult times in their lives. We were delighted to help plant the display and make a donation to support the continuation of these vital services.”
The £1,000 donation will help Hospice of the Valleys continue delivering specialist palliative and end-of-life care, as well as vital support for patients and their families across Blaenau Gwent and neighbouring communities.

David Spear Commercial Vehicles has a long-standing commitment to giving back to the communities it serves through charitable partnerships, fundraising initiatives and volunteering, supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference to people's lives.
