Neath Port Talbot Council is inviting business owners and the self employed across the county borough to take part in a Wales-wide survey aimed at measuring the impact on them of the coronavirus pandemic.

The survey has been developed by the South West and Mid Wales Regional Learning and Skills Partnership (RLSP) in partnership with local authorities to ensure the voice of both businesses and the self-employed is heard and that every business, large or small, is accessing the support available.

The Council wants to hear what the local business community needs in the short, medium and long term. The information gathered in the survey will be relayed to the Welsh Government on both a county and regional basis.

Please enter the survey using the links below and let us know how this challenge is affecting you, so we can provide you with as much help as possible. Survey links:

To understand the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on businesses across the region, the South West and Mid Wales Regional Learning and Skills Partnership (RLSP) will publish a specific county and regional report based on the survey results.

It is also hoped the results of the survey will help the Welsh Government and local authorities in Wales understand what businesses will need in future either through support or skills development.

The South West and Mid Wales RLSP is an employer led organisation working with Further Education, Work Based Learning, Apprenticeship and Higher Education, Careers Wales, DWP, Third Sector and the City and Growth Deals.

The deadline for completing the survey is May 29th, 2020.

Neath Port Talbot Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Sustainable Development, Cllr Annette Wingrave, said:

“We would appeal to businesses and the self-employed in Neath Port Talbot to fill in the survey as it will not only help us assess the effect the health emergency is having on our economy now – it will also help us deal with the aftermath of it.”
