Carter Jonas, the national property consultancy, acting jointly with Fletcher Morgan, has let 8,000 sq ft (743 sq m) at 9-11, The Hayes in Cardiff on behalf of landlord, Castlebrook Holdings.
The new tenant, Play at Pins, secured a new 15 year lease on a rising rent basis averaging £64,500 per annum over the first 5 years. The unit is largely arranged on the lower ground floor with an entrance immediately adjoining St David’s Hall Theatre with busy restaurant Miller & Carter restaurant immediately above.
The unit will serve as a venue for Pins’ first boutique bowling, dining, cocktails and escape room experience in the city centre. Play at Pins is the first of four planned sites that the boutique leisure operator is set to open across the UK targeting the cities of Bristol, Birmingham and London – all of which will be occupied by Play at Pins, a subsidiary of Event Corporation Limited.
Stuart Williams, Partner of Carter Jonas Bristol office, said:
“We are delighted to have secured a letting to Pins which adds an exciting new offer to complement the existing city centre leisure sector.”
Fronting one of Cardiff’s most scenic and historic shopping streets, The Hayes is a bustling pedestrianised centre which is home to many independent and commercial retail and leisure operators.
