Caerphilly Franchise Owner Honoured at Annual Awards

The owner of X-Press Legal Services South Wales has been named Ambassador of the Year at the company’s 2025 annual conference.

Steph Hector was recognised for her outstanding contribution to the X-Press network, her commitment to supporting fellow franchisees, and her dedication to raising the profile of the brand across South Wales and beyond.

The event, held at the Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa in Cheshire, brought together X-Press Legal Services franchisees from across the country for a day of collaborative learning, followed by an evening of celebration and recognition.

Judges praised Steph for her generosity, leadership and enthusiasm in supporting colleagues throughout the network, as well as her tireless efforts in championing the X-Press brand within her community.

Steph launched her South Wales franchise in 2011 after a 22-year career in the Welsh Government. Her husband Mark, who previously worked for Lloyds Bank Corporate, joined the business in 2019, and together, they have built a thriving franchise working closely with conveyancers across South Wales and the surrounding areas, providing regulated property searches, reports and a suite of services designed to streamline the conveyancing process for legal professionals.

Alongside running the business, Steph also plays an active role in the local professional community of Women in Property (SE Wales) and by hosting regular CPD events for conveyancing professionals.

Steph said:

“I’m absolutely delighted to be recognised as Ambassador of the Year. For me, one of the best things about being part of X-Press is the sense of community – it’s not just about running your own business, it’s about sharing experiences, supporting one another and growing together. I’ve always believed in collaboration, and I’m proud to play a role in strengthening the network while continuing to grow my own business here in South Wales. This award really reflects the brilliant support I’ve had from colleagues, clients and my team.”

Lynne Lister, Managing Director of X-Press Legal Services, added:

“Steph is a hugely deserving recipient of our Ambassador of the Year award. Alongside running a successful business in South Wales, she goes out of her way to mentor fellow franchisees, share her expertise and raise the profile of our brand. Her reliability, generosity and passion make her an invaluable part of the network, and we’re incredibly proud to celebrate her achievements.”
