ActiveQuote won the awards for “best innovation in customer experience”, “most innovative use of data and analytics” and “one to watch” at the Financial Services Forum’s 2021 Awards for Innovation.

Cardiff-based ActiveQuote was one of the big winners having been judged across 20 award categories, highlighting and celebrating the good work that has taken place during a time of significant challenges and uncertainty in financial services.

ActiveQuote, the leading protection insurance comparison website and broker, has previously won awards for its customer service and has added another to its cabinet, as well as one for its innovative use of data and analytics and the company’s potential for future success.

Rob Saunders, CEO at ActiveQuote, said:

“We are delighted to be recognised for our hard work and dedication across three different areas. Again, our customer service team has excelled to win this award, as have our data and analytics teams. The whole company has really pulled together and worked tirelessly over the difficult past year to ensure our customers get the best possible service, using the most up to date technology.

“Winning these awards during such a challenging time, makes all the efforts we have made so much more rewarding.”

The importance of innovation in financial services and its vital role in engaging with and empowering customers has gained increasing momentum since the launch of the Awards in 2018.

ActiveQuote won the ‘Innovative use of data and analytics’ award because of its development of Rubee. Rubee is an algorithmic data which allocates a score to every customer enquiry, which informs the order and frequency of the follow-up contact strategy. This enables ActiveQuote advisers to give customers with the highest intent to buy the right information, guidance and support quicker, while those who are just browsing get the space to consider their options and not get put off by an unnecessary sales call.

Rob explained:

“Rubee has changed the way we work at ActiveQuote and has improved our sales by a third in the process in just a few months. It gives our customers great service and our customer service team the satisfaction that they are truly helping customers. It demonstrates the power of data and is something we are very proud of.”

2021 is already proving to be an exciting year for ActiveQuote. From being the first comparison service to compare health insurance policies in the UK and allowing customers to tailor-make their policies by adding or removing options such as hospital cover and physiotherapy, ActiveQuote is continuing to develop its unique technology to make protection insurance an easy choice for its customers.
