Godi Financial, a foreign exchange (FX) firm based in Swansea, has hired a new member of staff and made an internal promotion as the company seeks to expand its operations in the region in 2019.

With 2018 marking another year of continued growth for Godi Financial, the firm has experienced a need for greater support for the processing of an ever increasing number of payments.

Kia Stevenson has been appointed to the role of FX settlements administrator to support the company’s operations in this area. Kia previously worked in the motor industry, with her experience in finance making her the ideal candidate for her new role with Godi Financial.

Demi Thomas, who has worked at Godi Financial since September 2016, has been promoted to Head of Settlements and Risk. Demi’s experience and development within the company has led her naturally into a position to run the settlements team.

Paul Langley, managing director of Godi Financial, said:

“We are pleased to have made these moves to strengthen our team. We have been very impressed with Kia’s impact so far and look forward to seeing her develop further in her new role.

“As a company we always seek to promote within, backing our staff to grow, develop and succeed in more senior positions. Demi’s promotion is a clear example of this and it is thoroughly deserved. In line with our goal to make Swansea the focal point of our operations in 2019, this has also proved the perfect opportunity to move the role, which was previously held in our Bromley office.”
