Businesses in Pembrokeshire are being offered access to grants and loans worth up to £300,000 as part of a new package aimed at unlocking investment, supporting growth and bringing commercial property back into use.
Pembrokeshire County Council has launched six funding options covering everything from business start-ups and expansion to decarbonisation, property improvements and town centre regeneration.
The largest opportunity comes through the Transforming Towns programme, where grants and loans of up to £300,000 are available for projects contributing to the regeneration and long-term vitality of the county’s town centres.
Businesses looking to expand can access the Pembrokeshire Growth Grant, offering support of up to £50,000, while entrepreneurs establishing new businesses could receive up to £15,000 through the Start-Up Grant.
There is also a specific opportunity for companies investing in energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
The Pembrokeshire Carbon Reduction Grant provides funding of up to £35,000 towards projects designed to reduce businesses’ carbon footprints and improve energy efficiency.
Commercial property represents another major focus of the new funding package.
Up to £100,000 is available through the Commercial Property Development Fund to improve commercial premises and bring properties back into productive use.
Smaller-scale investment is also being encouraged, with grants of up to £4,999 available through the Pembrokeshire Streetscape Paint Scheme to improve the appearance of properties and contribute to the regeneration of town centres.
The latest funding represents an expansion in the value of some business support compared with the previous round announced in April 2025, when Growth Grants were available up to £32,500, Start-Up Grants up to £10,000 and Carbon Reduction Grants up to £17,500.
The schemes are being delivered in partnership with the UK and Welsh Governments.
Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Education and Regeneration, Cllr Paul Miller, said:
“The launch of these schemes represents a significant opportunity for businesses and communities across Pembrokeshire to access financial support for investment, growth and regeneration.
“Whether you are starting a new business, planning to expand, looking to improve a commercial property, investing in your town centre or taking steps to reduce your carbon emissions, there may be funding available to support your plans.
“We are committed to supporting Pembrokeshire businesses and creating thriving, resilient and vibrant communities across the county.”
The range of schemes means support is potentially available at several stages of a company’s development, from establishing a new venture through to expansion, property investment and reducing operating emissions.
Businesses considering investment in the county are being encouraged to check the individual eligibility requirements before applying or committing expenditure.
