Global investors attending the Wales Investment Summit will see stability from a Welsh Government which is clear about its priority sectors and works closely with business and academia, the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning Rebecca Evans has said.
Speaking to Business News Wales ahead of the summit at the International Convention Centre Wales (ICCW) in Newport, she said the example of CSconnected, the world’s first compound semiconductor cluster, was one upon which Wales could build.
The event – the biggest to be held in Wales since it played hosted to the NATO Summit in 2014 – is expected to attract global investors from 27 countries.
Of the 250 companies expected to attend, 150 of these will be new to Wales.
The Cabinet Secretary told Business News Wales about specific projects set to be discussed at the Summit, including the Global Centre for Rail Excellence and Cardiff Parkway, as well as potential opportunities for the homegrown supply chain opportunities and for skills.
