A new dining experience is coming to Mumbles with the opening of Nok Nok, a traditional Thai restaurant on Newton Road.
Buddhist monks from the Sanghapadipa Buddhist Temple in Swansea have blessed the 44-seat restaurant ahead of its formal opening on Easter weekend. Owned and managed by Nok Ryland and her husband Julian, Nok Nok will offer authentic Thai food to eat in or take away.
Originally from Koh Samui, Nok has designed a menu that includes Thai favourites Larb Gai, Tom Yum Gung, Pad Krapow and Thai Massaman Curry.
Nok said:
“I’m passionate about bringing the flavours of my homeland to Swansea. I want visitors and residents alike to enjoy the taste of fresh Thai cuisine, so our menu includes a range of meat, fish and vegan dishes.
“My husband and I moved from Koh Samui in Southern Thailand to the UK 20 years ago and have recently settled in Swansea. It has always been my dream to share my love of cooking with people, and I’m so excited to make that dream a reality here in Mumbles.
“The recipes I use were passed down through my family in Thailand and remain as close to the originals as possible. I’m incredibly proud of Thai cuisine, and my mission is to provide an authentic dining experience that brings the true flavours of Thailand to your table.”
Nok Nok is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
