Unlocking Wales’ energy potential.

Proudly based in Wales and boasting a predominantly Welsh workforce, Green GEN Cymru is investing nearly £1 billion in creating a new distribution network to unlock, accelerate, and enable Wales’s net zero transition.

With electricity needs potentially tripling in Wales by 2050, new grid infrastructure is urgently needed to help create and expand businesses, connect new renewable projects, electrify our heating and transport systems and address the climate emergency. This is a challenge we face, one that needs to be tackled quickly and one that Green GEN Cymru is addressing.  

 We’re playing a pivotal role in developing a robust and reliable distribution network that can help tackle the energy and climate crisis, as well as the cost-of-living crisis, empowering rural communities and enabling economic growth through reducing the pressure on the existing grid.
