Box UK Marks 21st with New Investment and Commitment to Wales

Enterprise software development company Box UK has marked its 21st year with a new 10-year lease and £120,000 phase one upgrade for its city centre offices and underlined its continuing commitment to Wales’ technology industry.

The award-winning company was set up by MD Benno Wasserstein, a Cardiff University business graduate. Employing over 75 permanent and contract staff, it specialises in the design, development and delivery of large-scale user-centred digital platforms for ambitious and innovative organisations worldwide. It was recently shortlisted by the Cardiff Business Awards as Creative & Digital Business of the Year.

The upgrading and refurbishment of the offices in Westgate Street, Cardiff, it has occupied for the past 10 years will develop the existing space to support growing headcount and create an exciting and collaborative space from which the organisation will continue to support its many local, national and international clients.  The company’s already-established user experience and testing lab – thought to be one of the only like facilities in Wales – will also be upgraded.

Box UK will additionally reinforce its involvement with the wider technology community in Wales, with a new theatre-style breakout space, to be used for the sharing of knowledge, skills, best practices and innovations via tech talks and meet-ups, such as UX Wales and ProductTank.

Wasserstein said:

“We have always striven to create a climate where we drive innovation and deliver recognisable value for clients, helping to put Wales on the map as a key player on the global digital stage.  This investment aims to provide the best environment for our people to work in, encouraging collaboration and constantly improving on the quality of our solutions.  It is the next step in a 21 year journey that’s seen us invest over £50 million in the Welsh economy to date.”
