Construction work has commenced on a new housing scheme within the Glan Llyn consortium to deliver a further 222 homes within the project.
Miller Homes has started work at its Caerleon Grange scheme, marking the national housebuilder's first development in South Wales.
The developer has opened a sales office at the site, off Queen's Way, for visitors to find out more about the homes being built.
The site forms part of Miller Homes' newly established South West region, which was created to support the company's growth plans across Wales and the south west of England.
Miller Homes intends to open a fully designed showhome at Caerleon Grange during this winter, representing the first completed Miller Homes property in South Wales. The total scheme will comprise a mix of two to five-bedroom homes, including some homes located in a lakeside setting.

Miller Homes' parcel of land within the former Llanwern Steelworks site will reside in the eastern area of the project, neighbouring green spaces, community facilities, and within close proximity to Newport Retail Park.
The newly-formed South West region of Miller Homes is based in Bristol. Following the launch of its first site in Glan Llyn, the developer intends to build new homes at future new sites in Yeovil and Bridgwater, while it continues to explore further growth in Wales.
