Digital transformation company de Novo Solutions has been recognised by the Indian Awards 2025 for its efforts in strengthening relations between the UK and India.
Mark Sweeny, Founder and Group Chief Executive, attended the ceremony at the House of Lords to receive the award. Organised by the India Business Group and chaired by Lord Patel of Bradford OBE, this was the fourth year the not-for-profit initiative recognised a select group of individuals and businesses for their contributions to UK-India relations.
Lord Patel said:
“The judging panel were conclusive about conferment of this prestigious award upon your organisation for your inspiring work and contributions to enhancing bilateral ties.”
Since launching de Novo in Wales in 2021, de Novo Solutions has expanded to include an English satellite office and established operations in India in 2024.The Chennai-based operation operates across five practice areas: Human Capital Management, Technology, Testing, Corporate Services (supporting global HR and recruitment), and a Project Management Office.
In its first year, the India team grew from two founding members to more than 25 professionals and delivered six major projects using a joint UK-India approach.
Mark explained:
“Our One Team collaborative model isn’t just an aspiration – it’s how we actually work. This truly collaborative approach sets us apart from competitors who simply outsource work instead of building genuine, sincere partnerships and create education and learning opportunities for everyone.
“de Novo India stands as testament to what’s possible when vision meets execution, when international collaboration drives local excellence, and when talented teams are empowered to deliver exceptional results. It shows that our multi-location strategy – from our Welsh origins to our Indian innovation hub – gives us the competitive advantage needed to lead digital transformation on an international scale.
“We were honoured to be invited to the House of Lords to receive the SME Award from Lord Patel and the India Business Group. The award reflects the hard work, talent and innovation of our incredible teams in the UK and India who are working together, not only for the benefit of the digital transformation sector, but also wider UK-India relations.”
