Welsh businesses are being invited to a free event in Cardiff to learn more about selling products and services to the United Nations and other international aid organisations.
The event will take place at Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday 16 September 2026, from 9.30am to 1pm.
The UN system procured $22.7 billion worth of goods and services in 2025 from suppliers across 227 countries and territories, with the UK currently ranked second among supplying countries.
The event will introduce Welsh businesses to the significant commercial opportunities available through the United Nations and the wider humanitarian and development sector. These organisations purchase everything from innovative technologies and consultancy services to specialist equipment, infrastructure solutions and professional expertise.
The seminar will provide information on:
- Why international organisations can be valuable customers for UK businesses
- How UN procurement works and where opportunities are advertised
- Products and services that are most in demand
- How to register as a supplier
- Practical tips for competing for international tenders and winning contracts overseas
- First-hand experience from a Welsh company
Attendees will hear from trade advisers based in key UN and international procurement hubs who support UK companies pursuing aid-funded and multilateral business opportunities around the world.
Following the seminar, attendees will have the opportunity to book a one-to-one meeting to discuss their business, explore relevant opportunities and receive tailored guidance on potential next steps.
The event is aimed at businesses that are new to UN procurement as well as those looking to expand their export reach.
