Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to market Letterston Village Stores in North Pembrokeshire.
The store has been family-run since it was built in 1974. Brother and sister duo Gerwyn Howells and Marilyn Griffiths have been running the store for the last 20 years and have now decided to step back and retire.
The detached store offers a spacious sales area, with scope to expand the business further by introducing new product lines. There is also a large three-bedroom apartment above the store, which could either serve as owners’ accommodation or be rented out for further income.
Marilyn Griffiths said:
“I have really enjoyed running the store. Our customers are fantastic, and I have made many friends over the years. It was a very hard decision to sell, but the time has come to think about the future and retirement plans. I have instructed Matthew McFarlane from Christie & Co to manage the sale process for me.”
Matthew McFarlane, Business Agent at Christie & Co, added:
“We are delighted to have been instructed to sell this business by Marilyn and Gerwyn. It has been in the family for over 50 years and offers an exciting opportunity for either a first-time business owner or multi operator.”
The store is on the market with freehold asking price of £465,000.
