Trojan Appoints Chief Growth Officer to Accelerate European Expansion and FMCG Partnerships

Trojan has announced the appointment of Jack Tomson as Chief Growth Officer, a newly created role designed to accelerate the company’s European expansion and deepen partnerships with leading FMCG manufacturers and retailers.

Reporting to the executive team, Tomson will lead integrated growth across marketplaces, direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms, and emerging retail channels – strengthening Trojan’s position as a trusted, growth-focused partner that helps brands de-risk their reliance on marketplaces while building durable D2C relationships.

Tomson brings 14 years of experience across leading FMCG organisations, including Lindt & Sprüngli, Rémy Cointreau, Johnson & Johnson, Danone, and most recently, Newell Brands.

His career trajectory mirrors Trojan’s entrepreneurial ethos. Starting as a Chocolate Representative at Lindt in the North West, he quickly rose into e-commerce leadership – launching the UK’s first D2C platform for Lindt and delivering innovative partnerships such as the brand’s first online gifting collaboration with Moonpig.

Earlier in his career, Tomson sat on the client side of a major D2C partner review for a leading FMCG brand and was impressed by Trojan’s speed, precision, and ability to deliver on time and without complication. Trojan went on to win the business and successfully launch the programme without issues – qualities that ultimately inspired Tomson to join the company.

“Trojan’s entrepreneurial energy and pace were a huge driving factor,” said Jack Tomson, Chief Growth Officer at Trojan.

“There’s a real opportunity to help FMCG brands scale their digital operations with agility and precision – bringing together best-in-class marketplace execution and high-performing D2C experiences to unlock profitable growth.

“Trojan’s hands-on operating model enables even the most established brands to accelerate with the speed and clarity of a challenger.”

James Rigg, CEO at Trojan, said:

“I’m genuinely delighted to have Jack on board. Having worked for some of the biggest FMCG brands in the world, he really understands what those businesses are up against – the pressures, the blockers, and the need to move faster in e-commerce without sacrificing control.

“Jack brings real-world experience to solving those challenges. He’s been on the client side, led major digital teams, and knows what it takes to deliver growth at pace. His blend of strategic vision and sleeves-rolled-up execution is exactly what Trojan is all about – helping brands scale with confidence, strengthen their D2C capability, and reduce their reliance on single platforms as we grow across the UK and Europe.”

Founded to help brands grow with control and clarity, Trojan combines commercial strategy and full-funnel performance to deliver profitable growth across online marketplaces and D2C channels. The company’s approach focuses on measurable outcomes and resilient channel architectures, enabling partners to reduce risk while building richer, more direct customer relationships.
