Grapevine Event Management is delighted to announce the launch of the second Torfaen and Monmouthshire Business Awards. Building on the success of the inaugural year in 2023, the awards aim to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of local businesses across the two counties.

Entries and nominations are now live and the winners will be announced at a black-tie celebration, this year taking place in the Parkway Hotel, Torfaen, on Thursday 19th September 2024.

In 2023, Monmouthshire played host to the awards, where we saw businesses spanning across the Torfaen and Monmouthshire regions gather at Abergavenny Market Hall for a black-tie ceremony celebrating and shining a spotlight on the innovative and impactful contributions of the local business community.

Heading into its second year, the Torfaen and Monmouthshire Business Awards returns and is now accepting applications and nominations, and we’re thrilled to announce that Johnsey Estates UK, owners of Mamhilad Park Estate, are returning to support the awards again as headline sponsor.

Andrew Wilkinson, Chair of Johnsey Estates UK said:

“We were delighted to support the inaugural awards last year, working with our two local authorities and the team from Grapevine Event Management to celebrate the achievements of so many local companies that are making a real difference to our local economy and communities. The 2024 awards give us all another excellent opportunity to share success and shout loudly about all the good work that is being done in Monmouthshire and Torfaen.”

The Awards returning chair of judges; Roger Hiscott, commented:

“Although I've been back in the region for nearly 18 years, chairing the Torfaen and Monmouthshire Business Awards last year startled me with the depth and breadth of companies that I didn't know existed. From innovative start-ups, to companies with hundreds of employees supplying to the world, not only was it great to get them together under one roof to engage and acknowledge their achievements, but also be a catalyst to synergy and growth. I'm really looking forward to chairing again this year, meeting old friends from last year, but also encouraging lots of new companies to apply and gain the advantage of being part of this growing ecosystem.”

Liz Brookes, Founder of the Awards and Director of Grapevine Event Management said:

“We’re so excited to see the awards returning after the success of 2023. The counties of Torfaen and Monmouthshire boast such a diverse range and scale of businesses that deserve to be recognised for their efforts and these awards are a great way for the business community to celebrate these. We’re delighted to welcome back Johnsey Estates UK as our headline sponsor and together with their support we can’t wait to make this year’s awards even bigger and better.”
