The Marketing Centre is strengthening its team in South Wales with its latest appointee, Andrew Smith. Andrew will be supporting local businesses who are seeking access to professional, experienced marketing advice through his role as part-time marketing director.
The Marketing Centre is the UK’s no.1 provider of part-time marketing directors and has a team of 85+ covering nine regions across England, Scotland and Wales. There is growing demand for the service, which was founded in response to the increasing number of SME’s looking to invest in marketing, but who were unable to budget for the creation of a full-time position. The Marketing Centre also partners with the FD Centre, the largest and most respected provider of part-time Finance Director services.
Having grown up in the South Wales area, studied at the University of Cardiff, and worked across the UK, Andrew now lives near Cardiff with his family. An experienced Marketing Director with strong leadership skills gained from over 30 years in the consumer goods industry, he has had an exceptional Marketing career across various sectors and was also managing director of Fiskars, based in Bridgend. He is an open communicator and a firm believer in working closely with local businesses to fuel their growth.
Andrew is also actively involved in The Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme, working with local Welsh business leaders to help grow their businesses to the next level.
