The Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff Bay’s indoor entertainment venue, has welcomed the renovation of one of its most iconic tenants, the ODEON IMAX cinema.
The new-look cinema opened its doors on June 28, meaning visitors can now see some of the big new blockbusters on the new screen.
The only IMAX screen in South Wales, the ODEON space received a landmark investment to upgrade to the IMAX’s most advanced cinema experience, IMAX with Laser.
The upgrade sets itself apart with its 4K laser projection system featuring a new optical engine and a suite of proprietary IMAX technologies that deliver crystal clear IMAX laser projection, increased resolution, deeper contrast as well as the most distinct colours ever available on-screen.
The investment includes a multi-channel audio system that delivers greater dynamic range and precision for the ultimate in audio immersion, contributing to a superior entertainment experience from the ground-up, exclusively to IMAX screens.
