A South Wales fire safety business is targeting up to 30 new jobs and further acquisitions as it builds a wider UK group spanning fire safety, building compliance and sustainability.
Fire Safety Group (FSG), the business established as part of the management buy-out of family-owned FireRite in 2021, has expanded through the acquisition of fire safety training specialist Tower Fire and National Roofing and Cladding Solutions (NRCS).
The group has also launched CarbonRite, a new business focused on sustainability and net zero, as it looks to broaden its services beyond traditional fire safety.
FSG is now targeting further revenue growth and acquisitions over the next 12 months, with businesses operating in fire safety, renewable energy and energy efficiency among those it is interested in bringing into the group.
The expansion could create up to 30 new jobs.
Rather than operating each discipline in isolation, FSG's strategy is to bring fire safety, building safety, compliance and environmental performance together within a single group.
It says the approach reflects the increasingly complex requirements facing property owners and organisations as they respond simultaneously to changing building regulations, safety requirements and pressure to improve the energy performance of buildings.
Through its specialist businesses, the group provides consultancy, technical assurance and managed delivery services to public and private sector organisations.

The NRCS acquisition also emerged through a relationship developed within South Wales business network Comercity, of which both FireRite and NRCS are members.
Mr Selway said the network had provided an opportunity for the businesses to explore potential synergies before completing the deal.

He added that other transactions have also emerged between members, including Impact Lawyers taking a majority stake in Grounds for Good.
FSG's next phase will see the group continue to pursue both organic expansion and acquisitions, with the longer-term ambition of creating a broader platform of specialist businesses addressing the safety, compliance and environmental performance of buildings.
