South Wales Event Centre Investing for the Future

The David Broome Event Centre has officially unveiled two new all-weather show rings supported by a £210,000 funding package from Barclays.

Set in 110 acres, The David Broome Event Centre is situated at the family home of the famous show jumping Olympic medallist and world champion show jumper, David Broome, at Mount Ballan Manor, Crick near Chepstow in South Wales.

Delivering over 150 equestrian events and attracting over 50,000 visitors a year, the showground and has certainly gone from strength to strength since it began over 50 years ago. Employing 22 full time employees and up to 70 during the busy show season, the showground has the capacity to stable over 880 horses and brings vital tourism income to the local community.

James Broome, General Manager at the David Broome Event Centre said, “The new all-weather show rings demonstrate our investment in the site and our constant drive to deliver top quality equestrian events. We attract riders from all over the UK and we now have facilities amongst the best in the UK. We are seeing more and more demand for all-weather show rings and we anticipate turnover to increase by 20% as a result of this investment.”

Only last week, one of our videos from the show attracted over 60,000 views and we have over 15,000 regular Facebook followers.”
