Now employing 68 highly skilled digital specialists based all over the UK, Spindogs outgrew its former premises and is moving to a new site at the Cardiff Bay waterfront where it will continue to offer complete hybrid working opportunities in a high-spec workspace.
During the onset of Covid-19, Spindogs was able to quickly respond to the Government’s remote working requirements as a large percentage of the workforce was already working from a location that wasn’t the office. Not only was the infrastructure in place but so were the attitudes of teams that trusted colleagues to get the job done, wherever they may be located.
As lockdown continued, this allowed the Spindogs leadership team to think about how things would look once office working returned.
Founder and Managing Director Liam Giles explains the thinking behind the new Cardiff Bay hub:
We’ve built an office that’s not designed to feel or be an office. We’ve worked hard to create a collaborative area that can be used in lots of different ways which we feel very much is what will be expected of “office” spaces going forward. We like to think of our Cardiff headquarters as a “hub” that serves as a location for multiple purposes. Alongside the usual working and meeting spaces you’ll find people working from sofas, others sat at desks with a dual screen set up, others merely dropping in with a laptop. We’re also keen for our hub to welcome clients and partners and offer even better collaboration across all our teams. As a leadership team, we’re passionate about flexibility and giving a choice on where/how our team members work. This is the case across the company and not just at a senior level. We’re excited to see our new hub come to life over the next few months.
