Rhyl Car Park Will Improve Access Within Town Centre


Work is due to start in September on a 36-space car park in Rhyl.

Contractors will be starting work on the short-stay car park on the site of the former Post Office building on Water Street in Rhyl. The work is expected to be completed by early next year.

Cllr Brian Jones, Denbighshire County Council’s lead member for the Waste, Transport and the Environment, said:

“This car park will improve access within the town centre, one of the key priorities identified by residents as part of our consultation on the Vision for Rhyl town centre document.

“This site will create additional parking space, giving residents better access to the town and its services.”

The Council opened Rhyl Central Car Park in April after a major renovation which included improved signage, two new pedestrian entrances and an additional ramp to improve accessibility, new lighting, ventilation, and improved CCTV coverage.

Renovation work has also been carried out on the Sky Tower Car Park.
