Wales’ largest building society was announced as the Welsh Government Responsible Large Business of the Year at the 2015 Business in the Community (BITC) Cymru Awards for its work in society around Wales and the borders.
The judges said: “Principality has truly demonstrated the difference responsible business practices can make to a business and demonstrated how it can be integrated across an organisation – from board to branch.”
Principality won the award for embedding its values throughout the Society, which shaped its community outreach programme, which includes supporting a range of local sports clubs, volunteering in the community, supporting local schools, its Charity of the Year fundraising and much more.
Julie-Ann Haines, Principality’s Customer Director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named as Wales’ responsible business of the year. Our local communities have always been at the heart of Principality but in the last couple of years we have really expanded our community outreach programme to support even more people.
