Council’s gambling and licensing policies out for consultation
Residents and stakeholders have just over a week to give their views on Powys County Council’s draft gambling and licensing policies.
The policies have been updated in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. Now residents and stakeholders have until Wednesday 30 September to make their views know.
The council issues licences to supply alcohol, provide entertainment or hold one-off event and the county has over 1,000 licensed premises. The council is also responsible for licensing premises in the county to site a gaming machine or allow gambling on their premises.
Both draft policies can be viewed by visiting www.powys.gov.uk/haveyoursay and click on Gambling and Licensing Act Policies.
