Norwegian Window Specialist Opens First Welsh Office at Cardiff Gate Business Park

Property consultancy Knight Frank has secured the letting of an office suite on Cardiff Gate Business Park to Norwegian window supplier NorDan, which is opening its first showroom and offices in Wales.

Acting on behalf of landlord London & Scottish Property Investment Management, Knight Frank advised in the lease of the 2,221 sq ft Unit B Ground Floor, Copse Walk on a five-year lease at an annual rental of £13.50 per sq ft.

NorDan is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of high-performance windows, doors and smart accessories. Founded in Norway almost 100 years ago it now has 12 factories and more than 2200 employees, with project management offices in Exeter, Gloucester, Birmingham, Manchester, Livingston, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Will Caldwell from Knight Frank’s Cardiff office said:

“NorDan was seeking quality office accommodation with a highly accessible location and was attracted to the building’s excellent M4 corridor location and the opportunity it provided to create an area to showcase its products, as well as a regional office for its employees. Copse Walk delivers on both requirements and proved an excellent solution.”

Lou Johnson, regional director at NorDan said:

“NorDan is proud to be opening an office in Wales and this will continue to support our growth in the region. The showroom will be a place to bring customers and to showcase our product which we are very proud of. It will allow more social housing providers to come and discuss their requirements in the office and also enable more self-builders to come and immerse themselves in the quality product they’ll be choosing for their new home.”

The 100-acre Cardiff Gate International Business Park is the base for 4,000 employees, and is home to over 70 businesses including Redrow Homes, Molson Coors, Royal College of Nursing, International Baccalaureate and Regus.
