A celebration of local enterprise is set to take place in Caerphilly to showcase and connect the varied businesses that make up the regional economy.
The summer social event will take place at the town’s Ffos Market on Wednesday 3rd July featuring food and drink from local traders.
The event aims to help businesses and workers connect in a less formal setting, as well as promote the produce and event space of Ffos Market. It is part of broader support taking place throughout 2024 where more than £275,000 worth of business support is being delivered across the county borough.
The summer social is being held by small business support and coworking specialists Town Square Spaces Ltd (TownSq) with support from the Caerphilly Business Club.
Commercial Director for TownSq, Kevin Mansell-Abell, said:
“The business support scheme across Caerphilly has been amazing, and we’ve held more than 50 workshops and events, supporting more than 250 businesses so far. As we’ve held these we’ve naturally grown the community and there was a feeling that a summer social would be a great way to bring everyone together to spark some social and professional collaborations.
“The old adage of ‘people buy into people’ is true and the best networking and opportunities come through the social aspects of business, be it drinks after work, fun team activities or simply grabbing a bite to eat. When people get to know each other and drop the formalities, commonalities emerge – and that’s the essence of community.
“We’d encourage anyone working or running a business in the area to grab a ticket and come down to what promises to be a fantastic event in the sunshine, celebrating the best the region has to offer in the new and vibrant Ffos market.”
