Mrs Buckét Secures First School Through Council Cleaning Framework

Award-winning commercial cleaning specialist Mrs Buckét has secured its first school contract through the Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council (RCTCBC) cleaning framework.

The company is delivering cleaning services across the site after being selected through the framework.

Fifteen colleagues transferred from the previous cleaning provider at the school into the Mrs Buckét team through the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) – TUPE – process.

To mark the start of the partnership and officially welcome the team, Mrs Buckét hosted a ‘Cleaning Academy’ day at the school on the first day of the contract.

The event brought the newly transferred colleagues together with the wider Mrs Buckét team for health and safety training, introductions and a celebration to welcome them into Mrs Buckét.

Rachael Flanagan, CEO and founder of Mrs Buckét, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Mountain Ash Comprehensive School and to secure our first school through the RCTCBC framework. Education is a hugely important sector for us and one where we know we can make a real difference.

“Welcoming the 15 new colleagues into the Mrs Buckét family was a really special moment, which is why we held our Cleaning Academy day at the school. It’s important to us that everyone feels supported, valued and part of the team from day one.

“We’ve also begun deep cleaning the school in sections and have invested heavily in innovative equipment and processes to ensure we deliver the very highest standards for staff and pupils.

“We hope this will be the first of many partnerships through the RCTCBC framework in the coming years.”

Samantha Evans, Headteacher at Mountain Ash Comprehensive School, said:

“We’re really looking forward to working with Mrs Buckét and beginning this new partnership. Maintaining a clean, safe environment for our pupils and staff is extremely important to us, and we’re excited to work together to drive forward standards across the school.”
