Management Buyout for Health and Safety Services Firm

The health, safety and environmental consultancy and training services of leading risk management solutions business, Alcumus, is changing hands in a management buyout with long-term financial backing from Ultimate Finance.

Supporting legal advice was provided by GS Verde Group.

The businesses, to be called Ligtas, will continue to trade from its current locations in Cardiff, South Wales and sister site in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

The deal will enable the current management team, which collectively have nearly 70 years’  experience in health, safety and environmental risk management, product testing and compliance and technical training, to focus on the development and provision of industry-leading health, safety and environmental risk management products and services.

The deal also provides a dedicated focus on enabling organisations achieve healthy, safe environments whilst meeting legal compliance in the areas of health and safety, fire, water and construction design and management.

Ligtas will continue to provide consultancy and risk management systems, services and training to organisations operating in the property management, financial services, healthcare, retail, consumer and business and wider industry sectors.

The company will also look to grow its products and services in key areas such as construction and manufacturing.

The team will be led by manufacturing and professional services sector expert, Shaun Ashmead as Managing Director; with Alexis Vranch as Finance Director and Simon Jones as Technical Director.
