Lux Family Law Announces Expansion into London

Lux Family Law

Lux Family Law is celebrating its eighth anniversary by opening an office in London.

Founded in 2018 by Charlotte Leyshon, one of the firm’s proudest achievements is its fully home-grown legal team. Every lawyer at Lux has trained and qualified under Charlotte’s guidance, shaped by the firm’s values and its commitment to delivering exceptional advice and support to clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

To mark this anniversary, Lux is announcing a significant new chapter by opening a London office in Mayfair later this month in response to the firm’s existing and growing London client base. For its founder, the move is especially meaningful as Mayfair is where she first trained and later qualified as a family lawyer and returning there with her own thriving firm is a moment of real pride.

“Reaching eight years is incredibly special,” Charlotte said.

“Opening our Mayfair office feels like the natural next step and with so many of our clients based in London, this allows us to support them more closely. And for me personally, returning to the area where I first worked in family law makes this milestone even more significant.”

Family law can be emotionally overwhelming, and Lux believes that clients deserve support that recognises the full picture not just the legal process. To help achieve this, Lux is expanding its offering across both its Cardiff and London offices with the appointment of Natalia Wolski, an experienced therapist who will provide emotional support to clients alongside their legal representation.

“Family law is about people, not just paperwork,” Charlotte said.

“Natalia’s role means our clients can access professional emotional support at the same time as expert legal advice. It’s an important step in making sure they feel supported from every angle.”

As part of its 2026 CSR programme, Lux has become season sponsor of the National Youth Choir of Wales. The partnership reflects the firm’s commitment to supporting the arts and widening opportunities for young people across Wales, especially those who face disadvantage. Sponsoring the choir will help talented young singers access high-quality training and performance opportunities something Lux sees as vital for confidence, creativity, and community.

To coincide with the launch of its London office, Lux will also sponsor and host the “Celebration of Welsh Women” lunch during Wales Week in London which is taking place on 25 February at the iconic Julie’s restaurant in Notting Hill. The lunch will feature a Q&A with Francesca James, founder of Ideas Forums and a leading voice in UK entrepreneurship and will shine a light on the achievements and influence of Welsh women across business, culture, and the creative industries.

“Wales Week in London is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Welsh talent,” Charlotte said.

“To host this event at such an iconic venue and at such an exciting moment for Lux feels incredibly fitting.”

As Lux enters its ninth year, the firm said it remains focused on raising standards in family law, supporting clients with compassion and clarity, and continuing to grow its team and services across Wales and London.
