An independent opticians in Cardiff has refurbished their practice and expanded services.
Julian Davies Opticians in Llandaff, one of seven practices under the Julian Davies name across South Wales, has been serving the community since 2019, having inherited an existing, long-established practice on the same site.
Following the refurbishment, the practice has introduced new state-of-the-art equipment, including OCT technology and the Rodenstock ImpressionIST Mirror, alongside an enhanced selection of independent and designer eyewear.
The new Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanning technology provides a much more detailed, cross-sectional image of the retina and optic nerve than has previously been possible.
This non-invasive imaging technique allows optometrists to see beneath the surface of the eye, helping to detect and monitor serious eye conditions like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma at an early stage.

The Julian Davies team was recently presented with an industry award, crowning the team as ‘Best Practice Group’. The award recognises the ongoing commitment from the Julian Davies team to consistently prioritise eye health within their local communities and push the boundaries of clinical excellence.
