Law Firm Announces Latest Promotions Including Four New Partners

GELDARDS LLP

Law firm Geldards has announced four new partners across the firm’s Cardiff and East Midlands offices.

The promotions, covering a range of teams and specialisms, recognise the considerable talent and dedication of the firm’s workforce and their valuable contribution to the growth and success of the business, the firm said.

Senior Associates promoted to Partner include:

  • Henry Bright – Commercial Property, Cardiff
  • Kate Keenan – Family, East Midlands
  • Llinos Davies – Property Dispute Resolution, Cardiff
  • Rachel Kirby – Medical Negligence, Cardiff

Cardiff’s Commercial Property team welcomes the promotion of Henry Bright to Partner. Henry joined Geldards almost a decade ago starting his career at the firm as a trainee solicitor. He now manages a wide portfolio of non-contentious commercial property matters, dealing with major acquisitions and disposals and high value, strategically important transactions across the public, private and charity sectors and is recognised in Legal 500.

In Cardiff’s Dispute Resolution team, Llinos Davies has been promoted to Partner. Llinos first joined Geldards over a decade ago as a trainee solicitor and has since honed her career specialising in property disputes and litigation. She advises on a range of complex property disputes and high value litigation matters for clients, including well-known national retailers, charities and local authorities.

And Cardiff’s Medical Negligence team has been boosted with the promotion to Partner of extremely experienced Medical Negligence lawyer Rachel Kirby. Rachel represents claimants and their families who have experienced negligent care, managing a varied case load including complex birth injuries, brain injuries, misdiagnosis and fatal claims. She specialises in orthopaedic injuries such as avoidable amputations and spinal injuries resulting from negligent surgery.

Kate Keenan, an experienced Family lawyer based in the East Midlands, has been promoted to Partner. She specialises in financial matters arising from the breakdown of a relationship and juggles a complex caseload of mid to high net worth clients often with significant business interests alongside complex children matters. She is a strong advocate for alternative dispute resolution and seeks to settle client disputes amicably wherever possible.

These latest promotions bring the total number of partners at the firm to 62. Geldards also announced further promotions across the firm.

Eight Solicitors have been promoted to Associate:

  • Aqeelah Mohammed – Networks, Nottingham
  • Ella Harmer – Property Dispute Resolution, Cardiff
  • Jamie East – Corporate, Cardiff
  • Kate Williams – Family, Cardiff
  • Milly Van Beyere – Education, London
  • Robert Hodson – Employment, Cardiff
  • Sophie Taylor – Corporate, East Midlands
  • Sumandeep Nahl – Commercial Property, Nottingham

One Associate has been promoted to Senior Associate:

  • Rhys Thompson – Commercial Dispute Resolution, Cardiff

Jeff Pearson, Chief Executive at Geldards, said:

“The hard working and talented staff at Geldards are at the heart of our business. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional legal service to our valued clients, and this is only possible due to the outstanding people who work here.
