KnitMesh Technologies Showcases DroneStop® at Counter-UAS Homeland Security Europe

By Defence · 8 Oct 2026 · 1 min read

KnitMesh Technologies recently exhibited at Counter-UAS Homeland Security Europe in London, where Lew Bingham, Executive Chairman, and Andrew De-Gol, Security and Defence Business Development Manager, spent two days showcasing the DroneStop® Counter-UAS Shield.

The conference was an excellent opportunity to connect with professionals from across the defence and security sectors and discuss the evolving challenges posed by hostile and unauthorised drones. We were particularly pleased with the level of interest in DroneStop® and the discussions around the role of physical protection within a layered Counter-UAS strategy.

A Physical Layer for Counter-UAS Protection

Developed, manufactured and tested by KnitMesh Technologies in the UK, DroneStop® is a high-performance Counter-UAS solution designed to help mitigate the risks posed by hostile and unauthorised drones.

Its lightweight, high-strength stainless steel mesh provides a passive physical barrier that works alongside existing electronic and procedural countermeasures. Requiring no power, jamming or RF interference, DroneStop® can be integrated into existing security infrastructure for temporary or permanent installations.

The solution is designed for demanding applications, including military and defence facilities, critical national infrastructure, prisons and other secure environments.

Andrew De-Gol commented:

“It was a very worthwhile few days at the European Counter-UAS Conference in London, with plenty of good conversations, shared experiences and lessons learned from across the defence and security community.”

Over the two days, the team met with existing customers as well as new contacts and potential partners from around the world.

Andrew continued:

“We had some very productive meetings, discussing current requirements, future projects and where our technology can add real value by providing that important passive layer of defence for critical infrastructure and other assets.

“Lots to take away, some great new connections made and plenty of opportunities to follow up on. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to come and speak with us.”
