Kersia UK Appoints New Area Sales Manager for South West and Wales

Dan Ashmore - Kersia UK Southwest & Wales Area Sales Manager (Pig & Poultry)

Kersia UK’s pig and poultry business unit has announced the appointment of Dan Ashmore as area sales manager for the South West and Wales regions.

An experienced communicator, Dan brings extensive skills developed over almost 30 years in the industry.

By prioritising customer engagement, he is keen to drive tangible results and explore new opportunities for Kersia in the pig and poultry sectors.

“There’s a real potential for Kersia to contribute positively to the changes happening in the industry, which I’m eager to identify and pursue in my new role,” said Dan.

Having started his career with industrial chemicals provider, Deb Disposables, Dan then joined Dove Valley Poultry, later part of Moy Park.

After entering the agriculture division at Moy Park in 2003, he was appointed company hatcheries manager, where he oversaw the expansion of one facility and the construction of the UK’s largest single-build hatchery.

Following the acquisition of Moy Park by Pilgrim’s, Dan spent a further five years as GB performance manager for hatcheries and broilers, expanding his leadership and expertise in the sector.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role with Kersia,” he added.

“It enables me to use my experience but also offers fresh opportunities to learn new things.

“I look forward to meeting as many customers as possible in the first few months to understand their needs from the outset.”
