The Intellectual Property (IP) and Your Business webinar will feature an expert from the Intellectual Property Office, who will explain how businesses can identify and protect their intellectual property.
Designed for those starting a new business, the session will explore the different types of IP protection, what they cover and the costs involved.
Topics covered will include:
- Why intellectual property matters
- What can and cannot be registered as a trademark
- What copyright does and does not protect
- What registered designs are and how to protect them
- What can be protected with a patent
- The costs associated with different forms of intellectual property protection
The workshop aims to help participants understand the options available and how different forms of IP protection can be used within their business.
The free webinar is available on multiple dates, with online sessions running from 10am to 11am.
The event is delivered by Business Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government.
