IE Hub, the Cardiff-based free online budgeting tool helping users manage their debt and learn how to budget better, has announced a new partnership.
IE Hub has announced a partnership with National Debtline, a trusted provider of free, independent and expert debt advice. The collaboration is designed to make it simpler for people to access professional support and share their affordability information with creditors.
Typically, when creditors recommend that a customer seek debt advice, the customer leaves the IE Hub platform to engage separately with a debt advice provider. They then have to share all of their financial information again to creditors.
This new collaboration gives the customer the ability to connect directly with National Debtline from IE Hub and receive tailored professional debt advice. Their information is directly ported from the IE Hub platform into the charity’s systems.
Beth Kennedy, Head of Partnerships at IE Hub, said:
“We’re thrilled to be working with National Debtline on this new partnership.
“By combining the power of IE Hub’s tech platform with trusted, high-quality debt advice, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to get support and share their information with their creditors. This ‘close-the-loop’ approach is designed to deliver real, lasting impact, for individuals and creditors alike.”
Damian Chapman, Director of Income Generation at the Money Advice Trust, the charity that runs National Debtline, said:
“Facing problem debt is often a frightening and traumatic experience for the more than 8 million people in the UK who have debts they simply cannot manage. We’re proud to be partnering with IE Hub to make the journey to support easier for many more people.
“This collaboration brings together the cutting-edge technology of IE Hub that is already trusted by some of the UK’s largest companies with the specialist expertise of our award-winning National Debtline advisers—creating a solution that benefits both customers and creditors.
“As a charity that has supported over one million people with impartial, non-judgemental advice, we are always looking for new ways to reach people earlier and prevent financial difficulty from taking hold. Launching this initiative is an exciting step forward in transforming how people access the help they need at a time of high stress and anxiety.
“By focusing on the needs of the customer and streamlining the journey from debt to expert advice, we can support many more people to break free from the grip of problem debt together.”
Dylan Jones, IE Hub’s CEO, said:
“I’m incredibly proud of our team and everyone who has supported us on this journey. Together, we’ve created a brand and a platform that will continue to empower people to take control of their finances with confidence and ease.”
Working alongside all of the UK’s Gas Distribution Networks, including Wales & West Utilities and Cadent, banks and financial services such as Metro and Amplifi Capital and charities like Stop Loan Sharks and Scope, IE Hub is aiming to make budgeting and debt management simpler.
