Hugh James Advises Robert Price Builders’ Merchants on its Latest Acquisition


Hugh James has advised Robert Price Builders’ Merchants on its acquisition of Lliw Building Supplies, based in the Swansea Valley.

This is the latest of a number of acquisitions by Robert Price, supporting its strategic growth and expansion in the regional builders’ merchant market.

Gerallt Jones, Partner and Head of Corporate/Commercial, led the Hugh James team advising Robert Price, supported by Gemma Davies and Tomas Stephens (Corporate/Commercial) and Peter Hurn, Partner and Head of Commercial Property.

Robert Price currently operates 31 sites across South Wales and Herefordshire, comprising 20 traditional merchant yards alongside a number of specialist branches. These include six roofing centres, two timber specialists, kitchen and bathroom showrooms, a Sustainable Energy Centre, an insulation division, and an agricultural supplies branch. The Group operates under the Robert Price, Tudors and Gower Timber brands.
