Heather Anstey-Myers has been appointed as the next National Chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Wales, succeeding Richard Selby MBE DL who will step down from the role in November after six years of dedicated service.
Heather's appointment follows a competitive selection process led nationally by the Institute of Directors.
As National Chair, Heather will work alongside Jo Price, Nations Manager, who leads the IoD's work in Wales. Heather's role will focus on working closely with and supporting IoD Wales' regional committees across north Wales, mid Wales, south Wales and south-west Wales, helping to strengthen member engagement and ensure the views and experiences of directors from across the country are represented.
She will also support the IoD's engagement with policymakers and the wider business community, championing leadership excellence, good governance and the interests of IoD members across Wales.
An experienced business leader with an extensive background in manufacturing, economic development and business representation, Heather has served as an IoD Ambassador since 2024 and is Chief Executive Officer of Manufacturing Wales. She previously served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Hybu Cig Cymru and Chief Executive Officer of Chambers Wales South East, South West and Mid.
The appointment follows the completion of Richard Selby's tenure, during which he has played a leading role in strengthening the profile of the Institute in Wales and ensuring the voice of directors has been represented on key economic and policy issues.
