Haverfordwest AFC launches pop-up shop in Shared Spaces Haverfordwest

Haverfordwest AFC launches ‘The Nest’ – a one-stop shop for fans, businesses and community members to find out about the club’s community programme at Shared Spaces Haverfordwest!

The Nest will launch on Saturday, 13th of August with an official opening starting at 10:30am in Shared Spaces Haverfordwest’s pop-up shop, based in the Riverside Shopping Centre. This event, also part of the Riverside Shopping Family Fun Day, is all set to showcase what the Club has to offer to the people of Pembrokeshire both on and off the field of play.

Gareth Thomas, Hub Co-ordinator for Shared Spaces Haverfordwest, said about the launch,

“We’re delighted to welcome Haverfordwest AFC into our test trading unit. The work that the club has undertaken to support communities throughout the region is fantastic; inspiring and supporting youngsters with the key skills they need to thrive and succeed. “The Nest” will be a great opportunity for the club to engage with locals by testing a community centre model to showcase the great work they do, and for the community to get involved with the activities and projects the club facilitate. We look forward to seeing what’s to come over the next few weeks and hope that the opportunity to test trade will allow them to look at more permanent options for the town centre in the future”.

Haverfordwest AFC will be at Shared Spaces Haverfordwest until the end of October, where they plan to use the space to develop a connection with the people of Pembrokeshire and provide an opportunity for the local community to participate in Haverfordwest AFC projects to support the development and the growth of the club.

Wyndham Williams, Community Development Manager at Haverfordwest AFC ahead of the launch this Saturday, says,

This exciting new project will act as a one-stop shop for fans, businesses and community members to find out more about the club’s community programme, providing an opportunity to get involved and support the development and future growth of the club. It will also be a place which people can visit to purchase club merchandise, including mugs and prints made by That Football Drawing. It’s great to work with Business in Focus to trial this new project in the town
