Grove of Narberth Crowned Among 2025’s Top 50 Boutique Hotels

Grove of Narberth has achieved third place in the prestigious 50 Best Hotels list.

The independently owned boutique country house hotel in Pembrokeshire has been named at number three in the 2025 Top 50 Boutique Hotels.

Neil Kedward, CEO and Founder, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised in this year’s Top 50 Boutique Hotels. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who consistently go above and beyond to look after our guests. We’re grateful to the industry experts who voted, and proud to be named alongside so many inspiring independent hotels across the UK.”

When Neil and Zoe Kedward purchased Grove in 2007, the property was derelict. Over nearly two decades, it has been carefully restored and reimagined as a relaxed country retreat, surrounded by 26 acres of gardens and woodland. Each of the 25 rooms and suites has been individually designed to balance heritage, craftsmanship and comfort, creating spaces that feel personal, characterful and connected to place.

Meanwhile, Executive Chef Douglas Balish was recently named Hotel Chef of the Year at the Hotel Cateys 2025, further strengthening the hotel’s reputation for exceptional dining. His produce-led, seasonal approach underpins both of the hotel’s restaurants.

General Manager Karen de Koning said:

“This recognition means a great deal to us. Everyone at Grove of Narberth cares deeply about creating a warm, welcoming environment where guests feel genuinely looked after. To see that reflected in this year’s Top 50 list is incredibly rewarding. It’s a testament to the passion, skill and kindness of our team, who bring the spirit of Grove to life every single day.”

The Top 50 Boutique Hotels list celebrates independent properties that stand out for their service, atmosphere, identity and culinary creativity. Curated by leading industry experts, hoteliers, travel writers and hospitality specialists, it remains one of the most respected benchmarks of excellence across the UK and Ireland.
