The team behind one of North Wales’ fastest growing companies has launched a new venture.

Chris Hughes and Steve Bromley are the owners of GO2 Drivers, one of the region’s leading suppliers of HGV drivers.

They have now launched GO2 Personnel, a specialist recruitment company helping businesses find the right people for a range of roles.

Both companies, based in Colwyn Bay, are part of the Welsh Government’s Accelerated Growth Programme, which supports some of Wales’ fastest growing companies.

GO2 Drivers saw turnover grow to £1.5million last year – a 45% increase on 2017 – and is forecasting further growth to £2.5million in 2019.

Steve will head the business development side of the new venture, supported by a team of experienced recruiters. Further appointments, including a marketing manager, will be made over the coming weeks.

Steve said:

“It has been our plan for some time to expand our offer by setting up a standalone recruitment business.

“This is partly because a number of GO2 Drivers clients have asked if we can help find other staff for them and because we believe there is a gap in the market for a recruitment business specialising in helping companies find good people for a range of roles that are often hard to fill.

“We’ll be helping businesses find warehouse and factory workers, filling office admin roles and sourcing great candidates for a range of positions in facilities management, construction, IT, healthcare and hospitality.

“We also know there is a huge requirement across North Wales for cleaning personnel to provide a high quality and reliable service. This is particularly the case as we approach the peak tourism and hospitality season across the region.”

The two companies, GO2 Drivers and GO2 Personnel, sit under the GO2 People brand.

Steve added:

“We have a number of other ideas for further ventures which will all sit well under the GO2 People brand, among them GO2 Training which will be introduced in 2020.

“We want people to contact the GO2 people for all their recruitment needs.

“We are planning several business networking events through local bodies including Conwy Council to promote the GO2 People brand and range of services.”

GO2 Personnel is also a member of the Federation of Small Businesses and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
