Small businesses across Wales are set to have their voices heard in the final weeks before the Senedd election with a major online event organised by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
Almost 60 Senedd election candidates have already confirmed they will attend the free FSB Wales State of the Nation webinar, which promises an evidence-based snapshot of the challenges facing small and medium sized enterprises.
Drawing on the findings of FSB Wales most recent Big Small Business Survey and feedback from hundreds of business owners, the webinar will deliver a clear overview of current conditions for SMEs, according to FSB Wales. It will examine key pressures, including taxation, workforce issues and barriers to growth as reported directly by those running businesses across Wales.

“This timely webinar comes at a critical moment in the run up to the 7 May election. Small businesses are telling us loud and clear about the real issues they face every day and it is essential that the next Senedd listens.
“Our survey captures their priorities and aspirations and this session will ensure those insights reach the candidates who will shape policy for the next term.”
The online event will open with an exclusive presentation of the survey results followed by a special panel discussion. The event will also explore practical ways the incoming Senedd can support SMEs to create jobs strengthen the economy and help communities thrive.

The FSB Wales State of the Nation webinar will take place on Monday 27 April 2026 from 12pm to 12.45 pm.
