People interested in finding out more about apprenticeships are invited to attend a free information session on Friday 31 July.
The session will introduce the new Steps Towards Apprenticeships programme – a six-month programme designed to help people gain the skills, confidence and experience needed to apply for apprenticeships and entry-level roles.
Four information sessions will take place at the Cardiff Careers Wales centre in Churchill House in the city centre.
The programme is open to anyone aged 16 and over who lives in Cardiff and the surrounding area and would like support to take their next step towards an apprenticeship.
Attendees will have the opportunity to find out more about the support available, meet members of the Careers Wales team and learn how the programme can help them prepare for apprenticeship opportunities in 2026 and 2027.
The six-month programme includes:
- Workshops and coaching
- CV and interview support
- Opportunities to gain real-world experience.
The programme also includes an Apprenticeships & Opportunities event during National Apprenticeship Week in February 2027.

“Apprenticeships can be a great route into employment. If you're interested in an apprenticeship but aren't sure where to begin, this programme is for you.
“The information session is a chance to find out more about the programme, meet the team and explore how it could help you move towards an apprenticeship.”
