Fantasy Roleplaying and Tabletop Battle Games Open at Corris Craft Centre

The Crafty Gamer crew – Chris and Debs Cooper-Hayes with their children Katherine and Alex.

A new craft workshop has opened at Corris Craft Centre near Machynlleth, offering a space for visitors to pick, paint and play their favourite games and tabletop hobbies.

Crafty Gamer is the brainchild of Chris and Debs Cooper-Hayes, who have a passion for fantasy roleplaying tabletop battle games and family gameboard nights.

Visitors to the workshop, which stocks fantasy battle games such as Warhammer, Moonstone and Frostgrave, are invited to stretch their imaginations with popular role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu.

They also stock a wide range of quick to play board games, mind boggling escape-room packs, miniatures, paints, modelling accessories and terrain kits to help create a perfect tabletop arena.

Chris and Debs will soon be offering evening shopping and gaming sessions with bookable places at gaming tables.

“Crafty Gamer offers in-store painting experiences, such as ‘Paint a Space Marine’ sessions,” said Chris. “We also have tables to hire for when you want to unleash magical spells upon your opponents with games such as Magic: The Gathering. It’s a perfect escape for all crafty gamers.”

Crafty Gamer is one of nine independent craft workshops located at Corris Craft Centre which are open daily from 10am to 5pm.

Corris Craft Centre is part of the Corris Caverns visitor attraction complex which also includes King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explorers and Welsh Legends Maze.
