A leading Cardiff legal specialist with two decades’ experience of supporting families across Wales is “extremely proud” to have been promoted to the board of one of the nation’s top law firms.
Jodi Winter, the head of the Family and Children Law department at CJCH Solicitors, has been promoted to senior partner and member of the executive board at the prestigious firm.
Ms Winter joined the team in 2013 as partner in charge of the firm’s Barry office overseeing the family, matrimonial and childcare law division.
She brought with her 14 years’ of extensive experience within the public sector, including a role as a senior solicitor for the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Since joining CJCH Solicitors, she has “excelled” within her department driving continued success and growth across the firm, which was last year recognised as 2018 Law firm of the Year in the Cardiff Business Awards.
Her promotion will see her join the ranks of the firm’s four current executive board members from this month.
On her promotion, Ms Winter said it was a “great privilege” to be invited to join the executive board of a prestigious Wales Top 20 Law Firm.
“A firm of this stature and level of innovation is the aspirational horizon that many in this industry aim for.
“I’m very proud of being a girl from a working-class family in the Rhondda Valley, who could only dream of making equity partner and being able to work with such incredibly talented and committed people as I do now.
“My role within the firm over the past six years has been incredibly rewarding as I have been able to offer support to people struggling with a breadth of family and relationship issues, some facing some of the most difficult times in their lives.
“Being able to walk them through these challenging times and guide them to a positive outcome has been so worthwhile.”
Tim Hartland, managing partner at the firm, which has offices in Cardiff, Barry, Blackwood, Bridgend, Bristol, and London, said he was delighted to be welcoming Ms Winter to the board.
“I am pleased to be making this announcement and expanding our board of executives to include Jodi.
“The true indicator of an innovative and progressive organisation is its ability to recognise talent and let it flourish. Jodi left a very senior position in the public sector to join us back in 2013, and the firm has reaped the benefits of this decision ever since.”
