A fast-growing law firm is continuing its expansion by opening a major new office in Tattenhall.

Swayne Johnson, which can trace its origins back almost 175 years, launched its new service in the bustling Chester area village this month.

Their three-strong team has a strong commercial and private client remit and now has a high street presence at Mercury House in the centre of Tattenhall.

The move means Swayne Johnson now has six offices, from Menai Bridge, on Anglesey, through Llandudno, St Asaph, Denbigh and Ruthin to Tattenhall with a total of 63 staff.

It replaces Swayne Johnson’s previous arrangement where they shared an office with specialist transport, haulage and environmental legal practice Dyne Solicitors at The White House, also on High Street.

Swayne Johnson Director Lynette Viney-Passig, who has overseen the new opening, said:

“We have been in Tattenhall for five years but the increasing amount of work we have there and the potential for expansion has demanded our own office.

“This will give us a stronger presence with customers able to walk in to our office and with a proper reception area and interview rooms while being close to our previous office.

“Our clients are local to Tattenhall and the surrounding area, including Chester, and we need to own our presence there with a front door on the high street so people can walk in and with customer parking.”

Swayne Johnson’s team at Tattenhall will be Rebecca Robinson, a private client expert responsible for Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration, Claire Sumner, a member of the firm’s commercial team, and legal secretary Abbie Blakemore.

Claire said:

“Tattenhall is a real business hub with a thriving local business alliance and business club and we are members of both.

“There are lots of really good and substantial businesses and we believe there is plenty of commercial potential there.

“We have a greater range of expertise within the firm than can be found in most local firms and that is combined with a friendly atmosphere and car parking means we have a lot to offer to busy businesspeople.”

Rebecca said:

“We have been looking for a new office in Tattenhall because it has a really vibrant high street and with so much scope in the area not just in private client and commercial work but also in the agricultural sector where we have specialist expertise.

“Now that we have a dedicated office with a presence on the high street it makes our services more accessible and the response from the clients has been very positive.”

Lynette added:

“We have been looking for the right premises which is part of our continued expansion plans.

“We cover just about every aspect of the law and we have experts in most fields across the group which is very important in these increasingly complex times.

“The fact we now have offices right across North Wales and in Cheshire means we have strength and depth and a great geographic spread in relation to the area we cover.

“But at the same time a big part of what we do at Swayne Johnson is about relationships. Clients don’t want faceless people, they want someone who can help and reassure them and that’s what Rebecca and Claire bring to their roles.

“We believe it is important for our customers to be secure in the knowledge they have expert legal help right on their doorstep.”
