Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of Ty Mawr Nursing Home in Abercrave, near Swansea.
Established in 1984, Ty Mawr Nursing Home is registered to care for up to 54 residents in the categories of convalescent care, palliative care, day care, and sheltered housing. It went into administration with Begbies Traynor in March 2025.
Following a confidential sales process with Oliver McCarthy and Rob Kinsman at Christie & Co, the home has been purchased by Shyam and Nisha Done of Mawr Care Ltd, who already run a group of care homes across the UK.
Shyam and Nisha Done, the new owners of Ty Mawr Nursing Home, said:
“We are delighted to have completed the purchase of the care home and are looking forward to helping residents enjoy their home. We plan to invest in the property going forward and bring the experience and care from the other care homes we own across the UK for the benefit of residents.”

Ty Mawr Nursing Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
