Enjoy an Evening of Folk Music by the Fire at Castell Henllys

Welsh folk group Brenig will perform an enchanting evening of music by the fireside at Castell Henllys Iron Age Village from 7pm-9pm on Saturday 24 August.

The Aberystwyth-based band’s music tells tales of Welsh folklore, traditions, history, love and the countryside.

Castell Henllys Manager, Delun Gibby said:

Brenig will perform their original folk songs composed in both modern and traditional styles, including tracks based on local legends such as Jemima Nicholas.

“Their melodies are inspired by influences from all over the world including Celtic, Cajun and Asian music and a range of genres such as folk, country and blues.

“Join us for a fun filled evening of songs and stories set in the atmospheric surroundings of Castell Henllys.”

The on-site Y Sgubor Café will be open until 7pm serving hot and cold drinks as well as cakes.

Tickets for the Brenig: Songs from the Heart of Wales event are £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Booking is essential. Please call 01239 891319 to reserve your place.
