Disruptive Tech Startup to Reimagine the Welsh Hire Market

A new Cardiff technology startup, Anything for Hire, is set to follow in the footsteps of success stories such as Uber and Airbnb. Launching an online marketplace for the hire market, the peer-to-peer app allows users to search, compare and book hire services in less than 60 seconds. This includes everything from executive cars to venues and even bouncy castles.

Founded by Welsh technology entrepreneur, Tej Randeva, the idea behind Anything for Hire was born from 15 years of involvement in hire market. Feeling the booking process to be tedious and long-winded, Mr Randeva identified a clear consumer need in this sector.

Talking on the launch of the website; he says:

“With access to real-time prices and an online booking system, aims to provide an all-in-one marketplace for a diverse range of hire services. And it’s great news on the B2B end too, with exciting opportunities for localised businesses to reach an entirely new set of customers, along with a free, easy to use booking system. This will allow businesses to become more efficient and responsive so consumers will no longer need to call to know the availability of their services.”

Currently, the hire industry is famously lagging behind the rest of the world, with its old-fashioned approach affecting both consumers and businesses alike. But unlike some, it’s far from a dying market, with both the limousine and luxury car hire sectors seeing unparalleled growth over the last few years.

Created by an experienced development team in the hire and IT industries, they have worked extensively on new cutting-edge technology which aims to not only connect consumers to their chosen hire company, but give them the freedom to look at different quotes, compare prices and make big savings in the process.
