Wolfberry, the multi-award-winning Cardiff-headquartered cyber security consultancy, has pledged its support for the Armed Forces community by singing up to the Armed Forces Covenant.
The Covenant is a voluntary pledge made by businesses, designed to allow organisations to express their support, and commit to ways in which they can provide it. All Covenants have to be approved and registered with the MOD Armed Forces Covenant Team.
The Covenant was signed on Wednesday (25 May) by Wolfberry Founder and CEO Damon Rands and overseen by Sergeant Andrew Oldham, Engagement Lead, 614 Squadron RAF.
“Signing up for the Armed Forces Covenant was a no-brainer for us. As well as allowing us to formulate our recognition and gratitude for the Armed Forces, it also gives us access to a pool of talent with a wealth of skills and experience that would be a huge asset to any business.
“Simply signing up to the Covenant is a good start, but there is a lot more work to be done, and so we’ve pledged to support the employment of veterans and their partners, to give the Armed Forces community a fair deal on our services, as well as encouraging reserve service within our team.
“We’re on a steep growth trajectory, looking to double in size in the next two years, and to achieve that by integrating more veterans as they transition to employment in civilian life would be of huge benefit to the company and our vision going forward.”
Sergeant Andrew Oldham said:
“It was a real honour to be invited to witness Wolfberry Cyber Security signing the Armed Forces Covenant today at their Cardiff offices. As a member of the Royal Air Force, I know how much it means when organisations publicly pledge their support for the work the Armed Forces do.”
Wolfberry Cyber is an award-winning cyber security company, founded and headquartered in Wales, but with a global footprint. Founded in 2016 by Damon Rands, the business has evolved from a one-man-band IT start-up to the successful cyber security consultancy it is today, now based at its new One Central Square, Cardiff, site.
